Recap of Books I Read in October

Happy Halloween, friends!

I read so many good books in October and wanted to recap them in one place for you. This might be the largest number of books I’ve read in a single month since Baby J was born! I love physical books but most of this reading was done on my phone while nursing, rocking and trying to get him to sleep.

A Golden Fury

This book was propulsive, interesting and sucked me in from the very beginning. A great read!

The Mirror Man

I was talking to a friend the other day and longing for the days when we used to walk through bookstores and find new books. But not books by authors we’d already known, new authors and books that we’d never normally pick up.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Mirror Man is a book I wouldn’t normally pick for myself but the blurb got my attention and I’m so delighted that Harlequin + Mira Books gave me an ARC. It took me a little to get really invested in the story, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. Gilmartin takes you for SUCH a ride and the twists and turns surprised me.

Don’t Ever Forget

This book was right up my alley and the mystery at the heart of it had me guessing most of the way through. I love Farrell but this book was slow for me. It wasn’t as punchy with the twists as I wanted it to be. My reading time is so limited and it took me longer than I expected to make it through this one. It’s still good and surprised me in some ways! Definitely recommend if you want a good mystery that makes you think! ⠀⠀⠀

All Your Little Lies

This book has an MC who makes you suspicious of her because she’s really good at making all the wrong choices. There is quite the mystery at the center and Marianne Holmes does a great job of keeping you hooked! If you like mysteries that make you suspect everyone, this one is for you!

Kingdom of the Wicked

Holy moly, I loved this book! If you know me, you know I love anything involving witches and this book gave me everything I wanted. It is a fast paced read and you’re gonna be obsessed with these characters by the end. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Crowned A Traitor

Okay, a book about Lucifer’s daughter with Fae, demons, ghouls and so many other ghastly creatures… sign me up! The book sucks you in from the first pages but I did get a little lost in the middle. I stuck it out though becauseI the main character really intrigued me and I wanted to see how the conflict at the center of it played out. The ending worked well for me and overall, this was a quick and interesting read.

How many books do you think I’ll get to read next month?!
